SUCHI India Tour Identity

Identity and web & print assets created for SUCHI's India Tour

SUCHI, a globally-influenced DJ (Oslo-London-Delhi-NYC), returned to India for the third time with her eclectic blend of house, techno, electro, and acid. The tour was organized by District India.

I designed the visual identity and all promotional materials. This included social media creatives, print posters, and merchandise - to reflect her dynamic, cross-cultural energy.

The Initial Explorations

Went through many, many, many iterations on the first few ideas.

The Process

SUCHI wanted a very bold, graphic style combining rough textures and high contrast with minimal colors. The goal was to create a gritty, industrial feel. To achieve this I made a distorted portrait and rhythmic line patterns to evoke motion, noise, and feelings of underground electronic culture - blending techno aesthetics with a raw, poster-print edge.

I started off with a minimal, vectorized version of her portrait.

I then played around with the portrait to see what would work best. These ideas were discarded because when zoomed out, the details didn't make a lot of sense.

I finally decided on this one because it had just enough distortion to meet the underground club feeling and also clear enough to be seen on a poster zoomed out.

The font was the final piece to tie everything together. I chose this really distorted font and tweaked it enough to match the rest of the visual language.ng techno aesthetics with a raw, poster-print edge.

The Final Poster

The result was a very raw and gritty visual language reminiscent of underground club sound that used screen-printed or DIY rave flyers with strong contrast, visible texture, and an intentionally raw finish.

Merch

I also extended the visuals and turned them into merch that was sold at the different venues.
